LiveChat Service provides free chat software

In doing so, the Rotterdam-based company is contributing to the current economic situation. 

In the spirit of ‘together we can make a difference’ LiveChat Service has decided to make its software available free of charge for the next 3 months to companies that are facing a large increase of customer contacts due to the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic and having difficulties processing them.

From offline to online

The measures concerning the closure of companies, associations and, last but not least, national borders, leave many website visitors with questions that can only be answered by mail or telephone. This puts extra pressure on the online contact centres, which are also suffering from understaffing due to illness or employees working from home. According to LiveChat Service, the solution lies in online chat, one of its core activities.

Relieving employees  

Over the past few days, a number of companies have joined LiveChat Service with the request to deliberate and find a quick solution in answering the many questions of website visitors. This way they can relieve pressure from their employees. Adding the chat as an extra contact channel can provide some relief in these busy times. Because of this, LiveChat Service decided  to make its software, called, available free of charge in order to offer an extra contact channel that is available at short notice.

Our own software

The software has been developed in-house and can be added to a website in just a few minutes, giving employees an extra opportunity to answer questions quickly and easily. The offer is still valid for 3 months, but CEO Nick Blom is keeping a close eye on current developments: ‘Of course, we can’t predict the future, so we don’t know how long it will eventually be necessary after this first period. We hope to at least do our part this way’.
